Yessssssssssssss 5 o'clock in the goddam morning... it has to be my favourite time to DJ. At 5am all the drunks are gone and the posers are long asleep - the only people left now are the professionals, and they're going nowhere. You don't need to worry about keeping anybody onside or making sure the girls are dancing or any of that shit. At 5am, we're all IN THIS TOGETHER.

Of course, if you're dancing at 5am then you're not a regular person and most likely you are gonna be a bit OUT THERE in one way or the other. This is why I like DJing so late... you gotta find the distant space where these people are and send out some deep transmissions... sling them a line to grab hold of, let them know we're all IN THIS TOGETHER...

And - depending on where you are in the world and what time of year it is and whether or not there are windows - if you DJ at 5am there's a very good chance you get to play while the sun rises. And this, my friends, is as good as it gets. It's the crack cocaine of DJing. Once you do your first sunrise you spend the rest of your life chasing the next one.

So here's the next tape... there aren't many vocals on this one and those few that do exist are pretty twisted... those of you hoping for melodies galore are gonna be disappointed. This one is for your body because you lost your mind a few hours ago, right???


SPECIAL ATTENTION TO OUR BERLIN LISTENERS: In many parts of the world, 5a.m. is considered quite late and only the strange and deranged would ordinarily be found dancing at this time. I understand this is hard for you lot to get in your head.
